Great Pattern of Indonesia

From the title, you may guess what i am gonna write. What is the typical pattern (usually in fashion) of Indonesia? Nobody not knows. Yes it is: Batik. Some people said 'Batik' is the short name from words 'banyak titik' because you may notice that the pattern elements and dominated by dots. Well, i`m gonna tell a fact that i have the sense of music, but i don`t have the sense of art like drawing, batik, painting, clay, or in a word: handycraft. Despite i don`t have the sense of handycraft, it doesn`t mean i`m not enjoy doing handycraft making. Although i looked like 'professional' (the opposite of it) in handycraft, i mean the professional in making it become messy, i enjoy make them. Just like today, i had fun with batik!

Today, i went to a batik studio in the street of Meteseh, Semarang, Central Java. It`s such a nice place for keeping our (Indonesian) wealth, batik. Nowadays, batik isn`t only for fashion. But the patterns are appeared on small stuffs until home appliances. And batik is totally impressive.

From the gate, i already sniffed the wax for batik. When i came into the store and the studio, i saw that they all cool. I also see kids, teenagers until womans and mens were right there doing something with batik. Some painted on the fabric and some gave the colour onto the fabric by dyed it in the hot water. 

This picture was token from the second floor, the one for dying the fabrics. There was no handgrip on the ladder so you must becareful in walking...

Too bad the store sells with expensive cost. I only can enjoy from my eyes, hehehe... Obviously they sell beautiful things with batik pattern. Batik is on shoes, clothes and bags. Don`t forget some puppets make this place became really cool!

This store isn`t arranged ordinary, they know how to make it unique. Put the fabrics around? Sounds nice, a good idea!

He turned the wax into liquid material, on the burning fire with extra heat.

The artist teached me to make the beautiful pattern with tidiness and exactly i couldn`t, i created the messy one. A woman led me to draw pattern first, then i did it myself. And my fabric was smaller than theirs, i`ve got purple :p 

Today was really awesome. Worth experience aren`t changeable. Thanks for all :)
