Old Fashioned Cafe Delight and Being A Fellas in Good Fellas, Why Not?

Today`s program was super-dense. Actually - the #piknikasiksmg workshop that I participated in, was opened in a photoshoot centre in Rinjani 3A street, with the building name, BILD Photoshoot. But in fact, me and the other participants moved to some other interesting places in Semarang. After visiting the central of smoked-fish proccessing in Bandarharjo, more destinations where we stopped just for a while were the Lind`s Cafe in Papandayan street, Gajahmungkur, Semarang, and continued to Good Fellas, a resto and bar which is also on Gajahmungkur street.

The first cafe we visited was Lind`s, the specialist of old fashioned ice cream. Built on 1987, this cafe has been abroad to several capital cities in Java like Jakarta, Semarang and Surabaya. In Semarang itself, the cafe existed on 1994. 

When we walked in, the atmosphere around, abruptly altered; from the regular sumptous view outside, into an unordinary view of this building`s interior. We were welcomed with a pleasant and fresh circumtance in the first floor of this second-floored cafe. Here, a natural look of imitation trees and plants were on display - adorned the interior with the mix of nature and contemporary classic. Moreover, the plate wall decor was super-classic, a cool object for photo.

Readers, here after reaching the second floor with the lift nor the regular stairs, you`ll be taken into an opened place where you might enjoy the view of Semarang city. It`s at its best when eve`s coming. But beside the good scenery and photo spots, you don`t have to forget to taste the desserts here, especially ice cream.

Try to taste the the dessert which has ice cream, waffle, and a spray of cherry displayed on the hot plate making it goes melt rapidly. That time, we used to taste only for few spoons, because it was intended to be reviewed together. But if you guys come for personal event, don`t hesitate to taste as much as you want! :D

The other menus we tasted was beef steak which was sorely tasty, and a regular waffle with cherry and caramel sauce coated the waffle (very recommended!) and felt really nice inside consumer`s mouth.

Unfortunately, I didn`t know the certain price. But it`s started from Rp. 7K until 30K. Proportionate with the product quality, and tend to be inexpensive instead. 

If you are interested to visit Lind`s Cafe and Resto, you might come when it`s opened start from 11.00 am until 11.30 pm. 

Let`s move to the next place; Goodfellas, probably taken from Good Fellows :D an interesting name. The cafe was built in a heritage building which age`s equivalent with Lawang Sewu. The luxurious impression has emerged since I entered the parking lot. When me and the other #piknikasiksmg participants walked in, there were more deluxe views of classic, heritage, and modern-western interior.

We`ll be able to encounter some cool photo spots here; like the full-decorated wall in a side, doors with old-classic style, luxurious toilet with a sofa for a person on the corner, glass house, wine cellar, and bars. Nice designs to make you more enjoying your dinner here, taking account to how it`s opened start from 6pm to 12pm.

You`ll be pleased to do hand-washing and going inside the toilet frequently :v

The place design, is honestly unordinary and cozy. Also the dishes, which offered high prices (around Rp. 50K). Cannot be called really affordable, but for some sorts of reason, it`s affordable enough, compared with the dishes with high-quality. 

Too bad, I could only review two menus: a drink with floating lemon inside the large-sized glass: it seemed to be infused water. Because the lemon was let floating and sinking in the water, without being pressed. It`s really fresh to accompany you refreshing your mind. But for this product, I cannot give five stars. I think the lemons should be increased. And maybe, mint is good to be added? 

The mix of chinese and italian taste inside this dish. A little spicy, so nice.

Then, a food with chinese and italian taste, was also really nice to taste.

In the dish, interior design, and comfortness, Goodfellas`s the best. But, if you are a Moslem, I cannot recommend this place for 100%. Because wine and beers are provided here, and for me, being around intoxicated people is not so pleasant. But if you only want to try and select the halal products, it`s okay, and really nice to try. 

So Fellas, you ready to visit Goodfellas? And you guys, are you also cannot help to spend your day or eve in Lind`s Cafe? Just don`t wait to visit!
