2019 Blog Update
This is a slightly early update.
I don't do mindset of stop exploring. Exploring is a must, and so that I can't decide if this blog would finally get its stable style. I began writing this blog when I was in sixth grade, and therefore this blog changed style years to years - started from the topic, layout, and I was also randomly experimenting with writing style.
You can see my growth and development in posts to posts (some older posts were deleted because they're too embarassing :v) and some - despite showing the shift of minor details in my religious creed and social perspective - were not deleted for some reasons.
In some occassions I wrote in formal Indonesian, in the other occassions I was breaking that rules, writing in English and apparently these experiments turned out to be my learning process of literature and journalism. Then also, I left the blog for so long and did writing on printed publications, other online publications, and even stopped writing - I think that's normal in a process of learning, sometimes you stop doing something to figure out what's the consequence, how do you feel, and what benefit you can take if you continue the habit again.
On 2019, I will be 17, now an adult, getting more mature and I still decide to do something new, including about this blog. I am planning to make this blog more stable until one semester, probably getting more serious about the topic, research, and language style usage. Lately, I'm getting more interested to social issues and also getting involved to some events and seasonal NGO's that gave me chance to do more research and truth-unraveling.
This leads me to learn about solutions journalism (you can search in the internet what does it stand for, but I'm planning to write about it someday), and to apply it in this blog, besides in the other webs I'm also writing to. But it won't limit me solely to write solutions journalism here. I will still apply the other types of journalism. Even I'm challenging myself to write about politics and more data-based journalism.
The new post is going to be a whole lot of difference, that you will notice soon.
Only Allah knows how's it going to be. But wish me luck. I'm working on a remarkable progress of my writing.
For religious reason, I don't celebrate new year. Still, the date is becoming officially a momentum to make a change, walk forward for self improvement. Look, 2019 is just counting days, I look ahead to new academic semester for me (which means a lot because I do really care about education), improved vision, and a long way to go. I hope this blog will improve and sharing positive impacts to my readers.
And... I also hope you have a great day.
Salaam,
Al (which is my new nickname)
